Chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu state, Hon. Simon Ogbodo has accused former Senate President and member of All Progressives Congress, Senator Ken Nnamani of abandoning Enugu State chapter of All Progressives Congress for other states.
This is even as he accused Nnamani of turning an errand boy to Governor of Imo State , Senator Hope Uzodimma , adding that being on Imo state government payroll has made Nnamani relocate to Owerri in Imo state.
Hon. Ogbodo who spoke at the weekend during APC stakeholders meeting on the ongoing in Nkanu East also said Nnamani ought to be ashamed of himself for securing only five votes for APC in his polling unit in the 2019 general elections. He said Nnamani is not interested in grassroot works for the party, ” he is only interested in reaping fruits of other people’s labour ”
His words, ” If you look around the South East, Enugu APC is the least progressive . The party is stagnant and the stakeholders that are supposed to help the party grow are busy pursuing peace in other states when they have got no coordination in their own state. People like Ken Nnamani should be called to order. He can’t just be representing the party at the national level and not be useful in the state .
Speaking further, he said , ” Ken Nnamani has no structures in Enugu; can’t win his polling unit . In fact, in the last general election, he got five votes for the APC in his polling booth. He should better stop gallivanting around and come home to work . All politics are local . He is now more or less the errand boy to Imo State Governor and Emeka Offor . Other stakeholders are busy building their party but he is shamelessly looking for stomach infrastructure. The national party leadership cannot continue to entrust people like him with leadership because he is adding no value to Enugu APC . ” Ogbodo said
The APC Chieftain urged the party faithfuls not to depend on Nnamani for leadership but to continue pushing harder to strengthen the party.
