Recall that the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party had Monday announced its zoning of the positions of the Senate President of the 10th National Assembly to the South-south, Deputy Senate President North West, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, North-West and Deputy Speaker South East.
In a post made by the President-elect through his loyalist and protege at his Party’s National Working Committee (NWC) Dayo Israel used his social media to make a pun of a letter written by a leading Southeast contender, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu addressed to the Party’s Youth Leader.
Tinubu had reportedly endorsed the duo of Senator Godswill Akpabio and Senator Barau Jubrin for the President and Deputy President positions respectively thereby zoning out Southeast despite clamour for the zone to the considered for the position.
The letter signed by the Senate Chief Whip was addressed to Top loyalist of the President elect who is also a member of the Party’s NWC had informed him , the Party and other 108 Senators of his intention to contest for the coveted position.
