Senator Elect Ned Nwoko, Wife, Regina Daniels visits Senator Orji Kalu
Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu on Sunday played host to Delta North Senator Elect, Chinedu Nwoko popularly known as “Ned Nwoko” and his Nollywood Actress and Producer Wife, Regina Daniel at his Aso-Villa , Abuja residence.
Arriving at Kalu’s residence at about 11:55 AM, the Delta North Politician and his Wife Regina were warmly received by the Abia-North Senator after which they proceeded to celebrate the Sunday Catholic Mass held at the Chapel within the premises.
Shortly after the mass, the trio headed for lunch followed by a private engagement. In a brief address, the People’s Democratic Party elected Senator disclosed his purpose of his visit which he said is to congratulate Kalu on his 63rd Birthday and to also condole with him over the recent demise of his Wife, Ifeoma Kalu.
Unveiling his plans for the 10th Senate, the Celebrity Politician pledged to use his position to address issues youth unemployment, natural disasters such as erosion , insecurity, restiveness among others.
Nwoko, an international legal consultant and Chancellor of Sports University, Idumuje Ugboko, scored 92,514 votes to defeat the Labour Party candidate, Mr. Kennedy Onochie Kanma, who got 86,121 votes and the APC candidate, Peter Nwaoboshi, 36, 816.
Nwoko was declared winner by the returning officer and Provost of the Federal College of Education (Technical) Asaba, Dr. Josephine Anene-Okeakwa.
