Other Senators Should Emulate Orji Kalu, Those Opposing Him Should Have A Rethink, He’s The Best We’ve Had — Rev Ota
Reverend Kalu Ukpai Ota of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria has urged the people of Abia North Senatorial District to re-elect Senator Orji Uzor Kalu in 2023, noting that Kalu’s performance is the best he has seen since the creation of Abia State.
Ota, in a chat with journalists in Ohafia on Tuesday morning slammed those opposing Kalu’s re-election by tagging them “the enemy of our people”.
He specifically praised Kalu’s Infrastructural development through the construction of rural roads across the district.
“Well, I cannot in all honesty understand how these works have been achieved within this short time and, indeed, in the climate of dire economic shortages of government. I am impressed that Kalu was able to do these works within this short period. I can, in all honesty, tell you that the Kalu is the best Senator in the history of Abia State. Go to Abia South and Central and see if there is anything happening there right now.
“Kalu has set a standard for other senators to emulate. Without mincing words, Kalu is better than all the senators in Abia State. We’re talking about over 68 road projects in our zone and people are not thanking him? This is not about politics; our people should be grateful to him for all the things he has done.”
On those opposing Kalu’s re-election in 2023, he said, “I am yet to see any sensible son or daughter of Abia North Senatorial District opposing his re-election in 2023. If there is anyone doing so, the person is doing it out of greed and such person is the enemy of Abia North Senatorial District.
“So, tell me, what is the person going to tell the communities where Senator Orji Uzor Kalu attracted road projects to? What is the person going to tell the students who got free education and scholarship from him? Only an enemy of our people can oppose him. He has done well enough to be re-elected by well-meaning people of Abia North Senatorial District. Only a mad man can oppose his re-election,” he said.
